What is the Yardstick?

The Yardstick is FanYard's measurement of the community opinion on which team is the favorite to win, and by how many points. The Yardstick is set by having fans pick who they think will win, and by how much at least, they believe that team will win the game by. The data from all fans predicting a particular game is aggregated, then shown as how many points the public feels the favored team will win by, as an easily understood, overall measurement of all fans' predictions on the game itself – the Yardstick. The Yardstick allows the fans and media alike to have an accurate, non-betting related view into public perception about each game.
